Ideas, Suggestions & Requests

Welcome to the Net-Results feedback forum! We’re anxious to hear your ideas and suggestions.

I suggest you...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".
(thinking…)

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  1. Integrate the ability to sync to Salesforce multi select fields

Salesforce has the ability to create a single drop-down field with the ability to check more than one of the selections. We need the ability to sync back to these types of fields.

  2. let me toggle between AND and OR when creating segments

let me change "and" to "or" rather removing an erroneous "and" and moving it to "or."

  3. calendar dropdown in forms for data standardization

I want to collect a date but don't want different formats like May 15, 2011, 5/15/11 5/15/2011, 15/05/2011, etc. It'd be great there was a calendar option in the dropdown in the form builder that only allowed one format entry.

  4. Account scoring

    Hi,

It would be very useful to have an account scoring based on the sum of the contact score associated to this account.

Why? - Sometimes a single contact does not make that much activities but many contacts in that company have a small activity which has a important value.

  5. Provide an option to exclude NR stylesheets / CSS for hosted forms

We basically always have to change the styling of NR forms when we place them and sometimes extensively. In many cases, if we were simply able to exclude the forms.css added by the hosted forms script, the default form styling of the website would suffice or at least be a closer match.

Currently, when this is needed, we run a JS to look for and remove the <link> tag for the forms.css in the DOM, but it would far more efficient to simply be able to exclude the stylesheet when choosing the hosted form code option.

  7. Allow to export form submission data, including page referrer

When we run a marketing campaign with a single landing page (which contains a NR form), we distribute the url to various sources as:

    www.domain.com/landingpage?source=1
    www.domain.com/landingpage?source=2
    www.domain.com/landingpage?source=3

We can then tell where a form submission came from by the get value of "source" for example.

We need to be able to export all form submission data, including the full url (with get values) on the page at the time of submission. Then I could easily make an excel pivot table to get the data I need.

This data is already included in the real-time submission alerts. Perhaps allow to download…

  9. Allow subscribtion after unsubscribtion

    Hi,

We today have a problematic, when a contact unsubscribes, it is not possible to resubscribe him except by asking the support which is NOT user friendly and not easy to manage and which implies to be aware of that situation.

If a person subscribe after a unsubscribtion, it is NOT normal that he cannot rejoin the list of contactable person.

    Thanks

Understood and agreed. I will add this to our list. I can’t provide an ETA at this time but will update here when the time comes.

    Thanks again,

    Michael

  10. Remove persistent contact filters when you click on a specific filtered list.

When using filters in the Contacts listing and then click on a specific filtered list, the persistent filters remain and have to be removed to see the actual desired list.

For example, if you go into a running campaign's statistics and click on the "View Unsubscribed Contacts", it should remove any persistent filtering so you can view strictly those contacts that unsubscribed from that campaign.

As it stands now, you must remove any persistent filters to see the correct list.

I think this sounds like a better behavior than what we have now. I’d describe the filters today as “cumulative” – they add up unless you remove them. I don’t think this is normally the intent of our customers – and clearly it’s not yours! :)

I’ve put this in “planned” status. I can’t provide an ETA right now, we’ve got a full plate with the new email builder and other features launching soon!

    Thanks for this suggestion.

  11. Set a landing page - Offline

    Hi,

When we retire a campaign where we have used landing pages. It's not possible to set them offline. Consequently we can still find the landing page on google search.

Only one solution is to delete the landing page. But we'd be great to keep them anyway, they can be used as template later on.

    Thanks,

    N.

  13. Create "Call" in Sugar when action is completed

When an email is opened or clicked add the ability to create a "Call" not just a "Task" in Sugar. This would save steps for someone who needs to react quickly to opened emails or clicked links.

  14. Calendar Dashboard

A common feature for many email systems out there is a Campaign Calendar. I've heard this request from 2 different customers this week. (both current customers)

From one customer: "Would LOVE to see a calendar that shows a view of all upcoming emails scheduled in campaigns, kind of like what mailchimp or icontact has. Even better if we could "click and drag" the emails and reschedule them, so that if we see too many grouped together we can space them apart better."

I'm thinking that this could be built with a dashboard. Even a simple agenda view? I know the…

Good news – We plan on enhancing the “social calendar” adding in campaign launches. We’ll be elevating the calendar from the “social” area to a “marketing calendar”.

Work on this is scheduled to begin immediately after the launch of the new Gmail and Outlook plugins that are in testing now.

    More news soon.

    Thanks!

  15. Enable the Dashboards and Scheduled Reports to be exported as a PDF

Please give us a button to export a dashboard or scheduled report by PDF vs. just an HTML email. Will allow reporting to clients to run much quicker and smoother.

Maybe allow us to customize with a logo / header too :-)

Great suggestion and something we plan on adding in the coming months. We’ll let you know an ETA when this feature goes “into the oven”.

    Thanks!

  16. Customize campaign dashboard view by clicks, click rate, visits and all campaigns, not just top 10

The campaign dashboard is an excellent view by either all or one campaign. Would love to be able to do the following:

    1. View more than just top 10 campaigns... how about a drop down or field allowing us to choose the number or all?

    2. Sort by more than just number of opens. Click rate and visit rate are by far more important gauges of interest vs. number of opens. It'd be great to sort by those similar to how contacts can be sorted by various fields.

A re-vamp of the Campaign Dashboard is on our radar and the enhancements you suggest will be part of it. We’ll update you when we have more info.

    Thanks again Kris.

  17. Save as dialog : Pre-populate with existing name and " copy"

When using Save as, pre-populate the entry field with the name of the old email and " copy". Allow the user to change it. This matches most desktop apps methodologies and would save me a lot of time retyping names of emails.

  18. Add net-results e-mails as notes on Sugar Leads/Contacts

We use Sugar as our CRM. Right now our e-mail history pretty much remains in net-results. When we send e-mails through Sugar they are all stored in the Notes section. Sugar provides an API to push the net-results e-mails back to our leads or contacts as notes.

Sugar also provides a BCC address that will funnel outgoing e-mails back into Sugar to link the e-mail as a note on a Lead or Contact through the "To" e-mail address. Adding the ability to CC and BCC e-mail addresses on each e-mail would also suffice for our requirements.

    Great suggestion.

We plan on adding this feature this year, not sure about the ETA yet. We weren’t aware of the BCC feature available in Sugar and will look into whether this is workable across our Sugar using customer base.

    Thanks

  19. API authentication token

The API authentication could be made smarter (by implementing OAuth2 for example) so that it only authenticates once per site install, then retrieves and stores a token that is used for all future requests.

We plan on OAuth2 at some point but it’s not a high priority. It’s fairly simple to authenticate once per session and the pass the session_id with subsequent API calls. This functionality should be built into the “wrapper” your developers are using. If not poke us and we can share some code on how to simplify.

  20. Add lead scoring icons

I have a client who would like to add lead scoring icons. Essentially, these icons would display to show when a lead was considered "hot", "cold", maybe even show changes in the lead score. For example "Stop light style – or flame or something to indicate a scale of when it’s a really hot lead."

Great suggestion. Our current thinking is that a user could define the thresholds for cold, warm and hot (though there would be defaults in place if they didn’t want to set them).

Do you have any thoughts on that or other ideas for how you’d like to see this implemented?
