If some custom js would solve this then you may be in luck. Net-Results Landing Pages allow for custom js to be added.
Is your subscription preferences page a Net-Results Landing Page?

We’ll soon be rolling out a complete overhaul of subscriptions in Net-Results. You’ll be able to designate any Net-Results List as a “Subscription List”. This will allow you to manage any Contact’s subscriptions by adding/removing them to/from the appropriate Lists.
You’ll be able to easily filter your Lists as “marketing” lists, “subscription” lists or all lists.
Barring anything unexpected this will be live in October.
Thanks for the suggestion, the votes, and the patience!

MailChimp has this functionality and it is very useful: http://mailchimp.com/features/rss-to-email/

We’re planning a great solution for forms, it covers much more than dependent fields and is pretty exciting.
There are some other projects ahead of this in the pipeline but we’re not too far from getting to work on a completely new form builder. :)

Some progress to report here – We’ll soon have support for data flow between Survey Monkey and Net-Results via Zapier.
This is in progress now with an ETA of Q4, thanks for your patience!
